
Malaga tops the list on Airbnb
Malaga tops international travelers’ wish lists, according to Airbnb. Spanish Airbnb visitors rank Malaga second, but international visitors place Malaga first.
The Andalusian city on the Costa del Sol has become a recognized cultural and technological center over the past decade, while positioning itself as the ideal destination for remote workers. Malaga is among 20 destinations Airbnb has partnered with to support remote work from around the world.
Malaga is in first place in the top 10 cities, ahead of Sydney, Melbourne and Perth (Australia), Auckland and Queenstown (New Zealand), Bangkok (Thailand), Florianopolis, Porto Seguro and Salvador (Brazil)
Airbnb has also published a list of the most popular cities that Spanish residents are looking for for a holiday in 2023. Alicante is in first place, followed by Malaga (2), Barcelona (3), Cadiz (4), Valencia (5), Granada (6), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (7), Madrid (8), Seville (9) and San Sebastián (10).
