Málaga Airport is also known as Aeropuerto ‘Gran de Picasso,’ or AGP for short. The airport’s unofficial name, AGP Airport, refers to the artist Picasso who was born here in 1881. From Málaga Airport, intercontinental flights are operated to more than sixty different countries. Over fourteen million travelers pass through this airport every year. The airport is the largest of Andalusia’s four international airports.

Public transportation from Málaga Airport is well arranged. The center of Málaga is easily accessible by train and bus, and there are also good connections to the other resorts on the Costa del Sol. Estepona can be reached by a good bus connection via Marbella.
