Dutch people in Spain

In the month of November 2022, 4,342,030 international holidaymakers came to Spain. The first eleven months of 2022 also ended with more foreign tourists with 67,436,967 holidaymakers which is 138.9% more than in the same period in 2021.

If we look at the numbers, we see that 189,850 Dutch people came to Spain which is an increase of 9.9% compared to the same month in 2021 when 170,085 Dutch people came to Spain, and an increase compared to 2019 when there were 183,926 Dutch people.

So far in 2022, a total of 3,738,420 Dutch people have come to Spain, an increase of 96.7% compared to the same period in 2021 when there were 901,398. In the pre-Covid year 2019, 3,537,483 Dutch people came to Spain up to and including November.

Most international tourists or travelers traveled to the Canary Islands with 1.18 million tourists followed by Catalonia with 962,715, Andalusia with 593,559, Madrid region with 541,889, Valencia region with 520,350 and the Balearic Islands with 165,403 tourists.

In total, foreign tourists spent 5.39 billion euros in Spain in November, with the average amount spent per day increasing by 16.1% to 165 euros and the average amount spent during a holiday increasing by 10.2% to 1241 euros.
