Sporty outing, Benahavís Riverwalk
Benahavís Riverwalk is a hidden paradise! It is a very popular area for river walks, and some Mojos even ventured into the Río Guadalmina last summer.
River walks are a great way to experience nature that is not accessible in any other way. All you need is a swimsuit and sturdy shoes that are also resistant to water, because they will get wet! In return, you will experience a hidden paradise as you wander through the cooling water that flows incessantly along your feet. Depending on the time of year, there may be more or less water in the riverbed. When there is a lot of water, you will have to swim through some passages, so it is a requirement that you can swim well. The daredevils have plenty of opportunity to romp around with rock jumps at various points along the route.
The tour takes about two hours to walk. Near where the route starts, you can park your car in the large parking lot.
You can choose between two activities such as river walking or canyoning. Both types of tours are available on the Costa del Sol, but where you can go on your own with river walking, you definitely need an experienced guide with canyoning, because there are rapids, descents and big rock jumps. In addition, canyoning requires equipment in the form of a wetsuit and a helmet.
